Our Mission
MoCo Connect strives to connect students with county-wide student government associations and provide updates on activities in the county in order to better inform the members Montgomery County.
Our Goals
Through our multimedia platforms at https://mococonnect2019.wixsite.com/mococonnect, Instagram (@mococonnect), and Twitter (@moco_connect), our goal is to inform, connect and empower the MCPS student body to obtain the best results from their student government organizations.

Inform: Your student government officials work for you. All students should know who represents them and the issues being addressed in the various student government organizations.

Connect: Our goal is to facilitate communication between students and their representatives. The MCPS SMOB, the State SMOB, MCR, and MCJC all work alongside each other to improve the county and it's relationship to students. For representatives to do their job, they rely on communication from the population affected by legislation.

Empower: Effective communication requires an informed student body, with access to their student government representatives is empowered to affect change and get results.
Our Affliliation
MoCo Connect is not affiliated with MCPS, any student organization, or elected representative. We strive to be unbiased and we do not endorse candidates during any county or school election. Over the past two years, the 160,000+ MCPS students have relied on us for information regarding their student leaders, and we hope to continue to do so without conflicts of interest.
Our Information
Founded in 2016 as www.MoCoSMOB.com to inform and connect MCPS students with policies being addressed by the MoCo Board of Education and the Student Member of the Board (SMOB), the site was re-branded as MoCo Connect in 2017 to reflect its broader mission. Although our name has changed, our commitment to informing, connecting and empowering the MCPS student body remains unchanged. We welcome your questions and suggestions!
